CTO Shares Mission at Local Events

by Lauren Elliott | Published November 3, 2021

The Catholic Tuition Organization has already had a busy fall attending several local events to help spread the word about CTO.

Oct. 24 was the annual Dowling pancake breakfast at the Iowa State Fairgrounds Varied Industries building. This is a great event for the CTO to meet so many of our families who receive tuition assistance as well as donors. This year yielded several great conversations with legacy folks – those who graduated from one of the diocesan Catholic schools and are now sending their children through Catholic schools. We even met some grand-legacy people!

A coloring table was set up where children could color ‘future Maroon’ self-portraits!

Last Saturday, CTO had a booth at the Iowa Women’s Conference sponsored by Iowa Catholic Radio. This was a great opportunity to share CTO with those who’d never heard of it!

It’s always beneficial to the program when CTO can get out and about at events. Word of mouth has always been the best marketing tool for CTO!

We’ve also had several donors host house parties at their homes with their friends to help them learn about CTO. We’re more than happy to attend school board meetings or parish or financial council meetings at the parishes in our diocese. CTO can even present at Knights of Columbus meetings or other groups at your church.

If you have an event you’d like CTO to come to, please reach out! Our fundraising goal is increasing in 2022, and we’re excited to share the message of the CTO to recruit new donors.
