The 2021-22 school year is in full swing and the Catholic Tuition Organization is excited to announce this year’s CTO award total. This year, more than 2,002 students received awards totaling $3.2 million!
Award amounts ranged from 10% to 53% of tuition based on financial need. This tuition assistance was raised in 2020 thanks to almost 500 generous donors! Beginning in 2022, CTO will get to raise $4.5 million due to an increase in tax credits passed by the Iowa legislator.
Since 2006, CTO has been working to provide families in the Des Moines diocese tuition assistance to all 16 Catholic schools in the diocese. Families receive assistance based on income guidelines and people who donate to CTO receive a 75% Iowa tax credit on every dollar they give. Below is a list of the 16 Catholic schools in the diocese.
